I dunno, I think Toyota may let the Celica stay dead for a while. They tried bring back the MR2 without great success. The claim that the Scion line should replace them as far as customer base. I say that's crap, but that does mean they really do need a solid sports car to hold their line up.
I don't foresee a "real" sports-car going Scion. They want to use that as their lower brand for kids. They'll probably stay <250hp FWD. I'm sure their sporty options will continue to rise though and they'll do ok in the lower-end tuner crowd.
celica is and never was a sport car anyways. entry level sport coupe, im fine with that being with scion, actually i wouldnt mind if mr2 goes under scion too
