OMG.. got a Nail in my tire.. F College Park

Man, I went to CP tonight to chill out and hit up Bentleys with some friends. Shortly after I pull into campus I hear a hissing sound, so I park the car and check it out and my rear passenger tire has a freaking nail in it. Luckily the nail is on the top of the tire and I can have it patch/cemented. Anyone know where I should go for this? I was going to head over to Mr. Tire. Any other recommendations?

dang.. my car has been giving me bad luck for the past few months..

so far three of my stock tires have been damaged. two nails and a staple. my winter tires are so far unscathed. i swear the stock tires are magnets for sharp metal...

Goodyear. They do good work. I go to the one in Fairfax though.

I'll warn you to stay away from Goodyear in Ballston, VA. They attempted to patch a tire for me, and then later told me the hole was too big and the patch wouldn't hold so did I want to buy a tire from them? I replied no, and they said it was safe to drive home. On the way home, the tire blew out. Thankfully, Infiniti roadside assistance came by. Only to find out that Goodyear had cranked on the lugnuts so hard, that they couldnt take it off by hand, and I had to be towed to Just Tires in Fairfax.

wow.. haha
so, my mechanic and I just came back from CP and picked up my car. I had to get back home to get my wheel lock key. When we got the wheel off the car, I was very shocked. It was not a nail in the tire, it was a Razor Blade!! The mechanic could fix it if it was a nail on the spot, but since it was a razor blade, I'm going to have to get it patched inside out... I hope it doesn't cost too much gotta set an appointment with mr. tire tomorrow..

So does that mean they have to pull the tire off the rim? If so make sure they dont damage the TPS or scratch the rim all up.

ok.. so I just got back from Mr. Tire. The tire is not repairable, the cut is an inch wide from the inside, and patching it will cause a lot of vibration. They only expect about 150-300 miles out of a patch with this kind of cut. So now, I need to buy a new tire, mount/balance it, get another alignment, and I'm so screwed.. court date is coming next month.. bah.. donations plz :P

That sucks jim, not sure why u'd need another allignment from just gettin new tires? To my knowledge that has nothing to do with your allignment, you would only need the tire to get mounted and balance. Goodluck with court. You gotta pay to play like they say. You're already ahead of the game pimping a G while still in college. Just gotta wait for football season to start and you can go betting again..haha
