The RL definitely is an overpriced turd. The RSX did bring in a lot of buyers back when I worked for Acura.

i heard about this like 2 years ago...i guess its a smart choice...the rsx is kinda gay... they should move the rsx to HONDA branding and of course give a sportier coupe version of the TSX. Then instead of honda having the civic SI they have have the RSX type S... which is kinda the same in some ways.... engine wise that is.

^^ I agree. The RSX type S is a much nicer car than the Civic SI imo. They should rebadge.

Acura is going to need a sporty coupe in their lineup though.

^^ I agree. If they brought it back, I dont know that it would make a big splash, but I am curious as to how the design over the years would have changed. Im guessing the Accord coupe edged it out.

It was only a matter of time. The intergra's did ok, when Honda decieded to rebadge it as the RSX along with the redesign a while back, I think they mis-read the market.
I do think they could probably make/sale if for cheaper, and toss it in to the Honda line going up against the Si and have ok sales.

They're doing the right thing but letting it go.
At least for the US market.

Kinda sorta. It took that spot in their line up I guess, but the Prelude was never a roadster, didnt even have a convertable option.

MY THING IS, Y is honda getting rid of all it's coupes on the acura side. I mean come on 1st when I got my 01' CL type S I thought it was the shyt, then a while after the 03's dropped, I hear at the dealership that they were discontinuing the CL after the 03' models. People hardly buy the NSX & Now they're discontinuing the RSX...WTF...Honda better have something pretty bad up under their table if they want to stay in competition with the luxury coupe division because the accord coupe isn't cuttin' it IMO. Plus Inifiniti, Nissan & Toyota are about to kill it in the next couple of years

^^ I HUUUUUUUUUURD THAT!!

They really dont have a really strong coupe out there now. They need to get past that 4 cylinder childsplay and put a strong V6 in a coupe with some styling that will resurface honda. I dont mean to knock 4 bangers cus I know I loved my RSX type S, but the car had no soul.

What bothers me though is even their strongest V6 now found in the RL has ~300 hp but the torque numbers are down to the 240s if im not mistaken. If they pull that again, I really hope they put it in a lighter car ~ 31-3200 lbs.

bah.. we will see.
