I'm from L.A. and have ALWAYS been a Lakers fan, but at this point in time I would have to cast my vote for MJ. However, Kobe is still young and have many more years ahead of him to change my mind.

Just for fun. Can we throw in Lebron James in? Do you think Lebron has the potential to be as good, if not better, than Jordan?

Only if he gets more aggressive. His only main "problem" is that he plays the right way. Everyone knocks him because he won't take the last shot, but really the person he passes to does have a better look usually. But honestly after watching him in person, he is unstoppable. Its a cliche' to call him a freight train but true. He needs the Kobe disease and ballhog at the end to be more like Jordan and Kobe.

win it all?? HIGHLY doubt that. Heat have the following AMAZING players:
1) shaq
2)wade
3) williams
4) walker
5) mourning
im sure i forgot one or two

they are in a tight series with the BULLS! keep that in mind. a team with that many allstars can barely pull it off? dunno. im a die hard lakers fan, but we all should assume Detroit is the best TEAM in the league. amazing offense, and well the Defense is just a known fact that they can shut anyone down

lets just assume this is Kobe's best year ever by far. Jordan has put up years like this year Kobe's for 5+ consecutive years.

Jordan shot a better % in a league where they allowed handchecking. Kobe, like all other scorers benefits from the rules of today's NBA game. Jordan averaged more assists, rebounds, and steals also in his prime. Now to say Kobe's year wasn't great is untrue. He had a awesome year that'll be memorable for the ages. 81 points, 63 in 3 quarters were crazy. But to compare Jordan and Kobe is crazy. Not only has Jordan had better years, he sustained it over a longer period time than Kobe has played in the NBA. There is a reason why they call him the greatest ever. People's memory are so short sometimes...........
