Nissan GTR in the news

You may have read this already but here's the info...

NEW YORK (April 12, 2006) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. President and CEO Carlos Ghosn today announced that the next generation of Nissan’s renowned GT-R performance car will be available in North America and badged as a Nissan model, consistent with its global branding. The GT-R, which was previewed in concept form as the GT-R PROTO (shown above), has not previously been offered for sale in North America. The GT-R will debut in production form at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. It is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in Fall 2007, followed by the U.S. and Canada in Spring 2008. More details on the launch of the GT-R will be available at a later date.

Now thats weird, I was just @ IOC this past weekend and I was informed by one of their sales reps that the GTR was going to be infiniti and it would start @ 120k and that they already have 2 orders placed. Oh well being that it is nissan, I might be able to afford it if its standards are held up to infiniti's standards (hopefully).

Seriously, $120K is alot of money. At that price, it better come with like 4 turbos with a v12.haha . $10K more will get you the new 911 Turbo

both cars are to come stock at 450 hp ********

turbo cars are more easily modded, but if prices are 50k vs 60ish k, theoretically that money can be used to make the cars equal or more powerful.

I wont have to worry about racing you. You cant afford the GTR, you have a Pilsbury ready made family moving in with you. Sorry, but face the facts. your nissan quest is on the showroom floor right now waiting for you.

Next, lets get to the whole driver thing. I JUST posted how bad of a driver you are in the 2007 sedan thread and here you go, YET AGAIN recycling one of my jokes.

Stop trying to be me klitdeezal

Stock turbo cars usually get better times than N/A with the same rated power. That seem to be the pattern when comparing cars with similar or equal rated powers. I might be wrong.

the thing is this. I based buying the supposed Supra since the GTR was seeming to be way out of my price range. If the GTR happens to be within reach then I would of course choose that over the Supra.

Im not gonna feel sorry for you since you bought a $200 ring for a woman that you supposedly love and want to spend the rest of your life with. Then you go and buy some Monster Truck wheels for your car to be selfish and not get your woman a ring she deserves.

On the other hand, I went all out and spent near what Devon paid for his because I actually love my woman and not just marrying her because shes the only one that finds me attractive

supra will have almost no tuning potential just like the G and IS350. Its a high tech small displacement V8, its not a huge pushrod LS2 or HEMI, theyd be squeezing that engine to make 400-450hp. As far as NA is concerned, Japansese just dosnt make mod friendly NA engines... thats because they do such a good job in maximizing their engine's potential!
