Dent Removal

Where can I go to get a dime size dent removed? I was quoted up to $100 from this one place and think that's way too much for one freakin dent. Please advise.

i could recommend detail authority in VA...i had like 23423423 dings after a hail storm 2 weeks after purchasing my G. They did a really good job w/ the paintless dent removal....

Wow, that's steep. I need to get trained on how do to these. I hear it only take a few minutes each. I'd make a killing removing dents during meets.

If you learn to do it on your own, you're golden. If you go through the training from these companies that offer the tools, thats where they getchya initially. Good idea though. If you wanna learn to do it, Im down to take classes as well.

In the parking lot today, I saw a mobile dent remover from Dent Master working on another car. I asked him to look at my less than dime size dent and to give me a quote. He said $100 and had to drill into the door jam to pop the dent just behind the driver's door. I took his card and said I'll think about it. Wtf is drilling required on a paintless dent removal? I thought they can either use a suction system to pop it out? The Suburban being worked on had a huge ~1 ft long crease so I asked how much he charged for that. He said $225 and it seemed like a hella more work than my dime size dent.

Usually if the can't pop it they have to get the dent from behind with these tools they have. They push the dent outwards and then make sure it is flush so it is neither popping outwards or inwards. The suction method usually doesn't work the best. This method is what most of the dent removal guys use.
If there is no way of getting behind it they have to drill a small hole that they treat and plug afterwards. My guy fixed a dent on my rear quarter panel and he had to remove the tail light and go in from there.
