Cool First mod audio or MREV

OK, its been just over 6 months and I'm ready for my first set of mods. I just can't decide if I want to go audio or performance first. What do you guys think MREV or audio set up (stock HU, speakers, 2 amps, sub)?

I would go MREV, but it all depends on you. I really dont blast my music that loud, (setting is usually at 14) I think the stock BOSE is alright for me , so the sound system doesn't really matter all that much to me :P
If you really do like the "systems" you should definetely go with the sound system because you're gonna hear it everyday and everytime you're in the car :P

Well I'm in the process of doing audio right now...ordering mrev+ tommorow or tonight most likely. I'm NOT a fan of BLOSE so that's mostly the reason why its the first to go.

I'm keeping the stock HU and stock rear coax's. Replacing the amp and front components, and adding a sub.

Were you able to find a good deal on the JL amps? The best I found was $580 for the 500/1 and $410 for the 450/4. I'm also planning on replacing all 4 speakers, I have the non Bose stock setup.

In the non-bose setup I believe you do not have an amp in the rear. In otherwords all speakers are powered by the headunit. (also replacing rear coax's sounds like a PITA)

I got the JL 450/4 from ebay for $420ish and the 500/1 and 10W6v2 from woofersetc.com for $409 and $299

I'd go for the auido first. The car has fair power as it is, but the stock setup sucks @ss.

Which ever one you enjoy the most. I'm somewhat in the same dilema, but I think I'll eventually go audio first. Just because I enjoy bass. Anyways, performance, you can only enjoy it on open roads. Audio, you can enjoy it everywhere. Whether you're moving or not.

Like Virge and Dhej, I went audio first. I didn't care at all for Blose, and I figured I had much to learn about the car's power and handling before I could reaonably be disappointed w/ it and "need" more power. I still don't think I've ever driven at more than 7/10 of the car's stock capability (not necessarily mine) for an extended period of time.
