japan's best selling sports car Nissan Silvia? the Japan version of our 240sx, except their engine is turbo charged instead of the NA 4 banger we have here.... they have super tunning potential. think... RWD version of the EVO..
our 180/240sx is a shell of its former self, not exactly the same car as the authentic S13-S15 silvia series.

yeah but even then silvia is a rare car one the streets. i've only seen maybe 5 in my whole life on the street. I've seen more gtr's than silvia's. Mostly the R32 though.

ive never seen a silvia on US public roads, ive only seen a couple of converted 240SX where they swapped in the SR20DET drive train... most of them just have silvia badging and body kit, and still have the plain ol 240sx engine. since its never sold in the US, even if a few were imported its still pretty much non existent over here.

the silvia conversion is probably as popular if not more so than the ITR conversion. It's just hard to find a 240 shell to work with. Not that expensive to swap the truck engine for the sr20 then get the front end converted. I think the s13 sr20 motor are rather cheap with endless of capabilities.

ive never seen a silvia or heard of a silvia (street legal) on US streets as well. When we say silvia I think me and terry are referring to a RHD JDM silvia...not a rebadged 240sx which you might see every now and then. In addition the s14 240(last model which came to US shores I believe) there is a front end converstion as khoa mentioned. It makes the front look just like the S15 silvia HOWEVER it is ONLY a front end conversion. The rear tail lights/rest of hte body would have to be completely redone to make a full converstion. And as terry also mentioned we have an NA 4 banger not the turbocharged SR20DET motor. I doubt what you saw was a Silvia lek, unless it was RHD.
