I saw a few of them in Clearwater a couple weeks ago, 3 diff versions. They were somewhere around 330/400/550hp respectively. The two with custom paint jobs running 550hp were in the 80-85k price range

let me get this straight, the new ford SVT cobra will be 450-475hp and cost less than 40k... and this thing has less hp and cost 25 thousand bucks more? infact it cost around the same as a 505hp corvette Z06...

Cool car but way too much $ for what you get.
I would take a S/C M3 over it any day.

What I've heard (friend LIVES in Mustang/Cobra forums and Ive talked to some dealers) is that the new Cobra (actually badged as a Shelby again) will be mid to upper 40s, and the dealers slated to get them have waiting lists and are getting up to 30k over invoice. I love Mustangs, especially top end ones, but would NEVER consider paying anywhere near that much for one.

i wouldnt be suprised if the new shelby cobra will have insane markups. but thats sure to only be temporary. Ford will be making a good number of them, and their price will soon fall hard. my friend picked up a 2003 SVT cobra for low 20ks in 2004, talk about depreciation.

Ther is only one Saleen ,Cobra ,350 gt.They all have different horse power. The Saleen about 430 ,Cobra about 400-450,350-gt 475-500 from the car show. Now demand may cause dealers to jack up prices.None of these are worth 80 thousand.

Diff levels of boost, diff suspension kits, etc.

Three versions of the 2005 Saleen S281 will be available to consumers: the standard S281, the S281-SC, and the S281-E. Each Saleen Mustang will have modified styling front and rear, boosts in power, suspension modifications, upgraded braking components, and unique interior trim. Prices are expected to start around $38,000 for the Saleen S281, with the Saleen S281-SC running about $45,000. The 2005 Saleen S281-E, the E standing for Extreme, has not been priced but is certain to run north of $50,000.

This is the higher end version I saw, 550hp and $85k (it was a sweet a** cherry apple red!)
