living in california, what i take away from this is what i've always known. Don't give cops probable cause. don't give them a reason. If they don't have probable cause, then they actually do need need a search warrant. As one of my law profs says, that guy's car was probable cause on wheels.

If you make your car look and sound reputable, they won't check under the hood. No broken tailights, no missing license plates, no modified exhaust tips, no loud exhuast/intake, no tint, keep the car looking clean, no stickers, no debadging. Then, you look like you have a luxury car, not a car built for streetracing. I know a bunch of people that keep getting hassled with stock evos and sti's. And i know a bunch of people that have modified cars that never get hassled, because they buy expensive cars and keep them looking nice and not childish.

 

I bet that GROUNDING KIT would be illegal in cali.......

damn, all you guys are worried over nothing. Did you look at the car in the video?!?!?!?!? ITS A FVCKING CIVIC... not a G35. Cops arent going to pull over an entry level luxury car with an HKS exhaust. They are going to pull over slammed civic's, integra's, etc. etc. with coffee can exhaust's. Go ahead and get your HKS exhaust or APS TT or whatever else it is you want just dont go speeding around town all day asking to get caught... simple as that. I had a 97 eclipse gst with a loud *** apexi n1 downpipe and exhaust with no cats and it was louder than all hell, never got pulled over. you guys are all worrying about nothing.

SD and LA are pretty bad... but then again its just luck, i drove around a turbod honda in the sd area for about a year and never got pulled over once for it, got a speeding ticket but they just wrote me up didnt even bother to check under the hood or ask about the exhaust
