I was in the clarksville area today after leaving my friend's house. There is this light right after exitting his apt complex. The new GT stang in this wierd green color pulled to my side and started revving. Haven't pushed my car for a longgggggg time so I took full advantage. Light turns green and we both launch, he takes the launch on me and has a 3/4 car lead on me, at about 85 in 3rd gear I start pulling on him by 1/2 a car, then comes this bend in the road about a 45 degree turn, I take that at 105 and just blow his doors off. At the next light we pull up and he asks to go onto 29 and try one from a 30 mph roll. We bust a U, and we hit 29S. Traffic's light, so we both match at 30 mph, 3 honks, and we're off. Left him wayyyyyy back through the traffic, we were going at 135 for a good 2 miles, then I slowed to 80 and he thumbed up and dipped. Whew, pure adrenaline rush

 

What year GT? I raced a new one and beat him up as well

lol after you refused to race that black G that was harassing you, you went and raced a stang lol. nice kill though, they have way more torque than us, i wonder how much they weigh.

 

it was the new model, 05+ i think, with that retro look. Definitely was a V8 under that hood. Those cars have so much torque they have a hard time getting traction i think. He had me at the launch pretty easy, but as it went to higher speeds I started catching, and pulled slowly at 85'ish.. Then comes that turn, unless the guy didnt have *****, it really sucked through it.
I dont race G's haha, kinda pointless to race the same car I think, unless you gotta prove something to the driver :P Crazy Black G's :P

 

Oh gosh here come all the sedan haters who try and race people and always lose and think if they lose the Coupe will lose as well......

 

He must have been a horrible driver. There is no way a G35 will beat the newer Mustang GTs. The new mustang runs 0-60 and the quarter mile MUCH quicker than the G.

Now if you're talking about style the G wins hands down!

I never get to race the new Gt's...I always get the last body style, I spank them all around town. Took an S2K the other evening though.

 

If i am not not mistaken the new mustangs gt's have about 300 horses .I will check.Why would they kill us i hear they are only strait track like drag they don't handlein corners as well as us.Plus they are heavy.

 

Ok i just looked up the mustangs .6 cyl. 210 hp,v8 300 .So this should be close who said it should beat us.I know a few people here who would eat him up .Me and Devon .....................nice talkin to ya. Now a cobra saleen be another story.

 

They may be heavy, but our cars arent swimsuit models either.

 

actually the GT w/ the v8 weighs 3450 lbs compared to our 3512
(both are manual)

the mustang v6 weighs 3300 210hp/240tq

Man, i was about to do it yesterday. It wasn't the newest body style stangs though, it had to be the year before. I was going to take him, but he had 20x12''s on the rear, aint no way he going to hurt my pride, lol
