Question anyone from the columbia/Ellicott city area (with audio experience)?

I need some help with an audio install in the near future....ie a few months from now. I was wonderin if anyone from around here had any experience and wouldn't mind helpin me out. Its my first install so i'm kinda hesitant to do this by myself. The hardest part for me imo is running the 4ga power wire for the amps and replacing the components up front (yea i know people say its easy still...I dont quite trust myself at not breaking something)

thanks....

I am in the area.Go to crutchfield .com.They will have the diagrams for the car and what parts to remove in order. To make the insta go faster. This is probably an 4 hour to all day job.Our number 1 installer is moving.Amps in trunk are easy running wires and removing door panels a little harder. Some of the club have done this though.peace.

lol thanks brian. Yea i've looked at crutchfield.com and went through the audio sub-forum pretty thoroughly, but all the docs in the world can't be traded for first hand experience. I know how to do it in theory =) (with the exception of removing panels and what not...)

Once you get a clear date of when you're gonna do this...we'll gather a couple of the guys to pitch in. I've had audio install experience in the past but not on a g35. Jess has done some audio work on his Z that he's now selling. Puria did his own install.... so I'm sure we'll be able to help you out.

I'm right on 32 and cedar lane. right at that intersection. So I'm probably 10 min from you if I cut through columbia.

Ok I've got my 4080 box and DLS UP6. *Should* (barring any shipping f*** ups) have my amps and everything else by the week of the 13th. Would anyone be up for a DIY day for the 25th or 26th of march? (...more like are you free that weekend devon )

Sorry to threadjack, especially considering I'm not part of the NationalGClub and all, but...

I live in Birmingham, Alabama and the title of this thread caught my attention because I spend quite a bit of time in Columbia. My company's headquarters is in Columbia, and I was just up there last week. I considered posting a thread about going out for drinks and stuff, but figured since it was mid-week no one would be able to.

I lived in Columbia for 6 months(on the company) back in the spring/summer of 02; lived in an apartment right next to the mall. In fact, whenever I fly up there I stay at the Sheraton next to the mall.

When I lived up there I spent almost every thursday night at a bar up there playing trivia. I think it was named Sonoma's.

Sorry for the long post, but anyone interested in getting together for drinks at maybe some pool or trivia at Sonoma's or Knottingham's the next time I'm up?

i also might need some help soon, i should be getting my carputer finished in a week or 2 at most. The hard part is routing the wires from the battery and pac unit to the back. I think i got it though, because I like to be hands on and do my own stuff, but just in case something goes wrong, i might need help. pratik said he'll help, and whoever else is insterested in case i run into problems. thanks

i live 5 minutes from the mall. Always down for some drinks also. Post something here next time you're up and we can set something. We do our usually happy hr on Thursday and someone would be more than happy to give you a ride down to Tyson.
