This morning....
I almost crashed at the nutley ramp. Going way too fast and didn't realize how slippery it was... it had been sprinkling wet snow for a little bit but I couldn't see it sticking on the ground. Anyways... first the front left started giving in... then the rear was going sideways... but I just stayed calm and adjusted. CLOSE CALL.
Lek, not that I'd ever take my G out in snow, but I'm interested to learn more about its behavior - when you say left front gave out - were you on a banked right turn (understeer), and then rear gave loose to 4 wheel drift? And when you say corrected, how much correction input did you need to give assuming traction control was on? I've found that it tends to do most work during normal understeer situations - i.e. entering a turn too hot...
it was a right turn.... the front basically started sliding a bit and i didn't realize it was because of the road conditions so i did what i usually do and give it more gas and corrected the steering. But then the rear started to slide left as well... did little movements of the steering wheel because I had enough momentum to go crashing into the wall. The car then started fishtailing more and I feathered the gas a little bit while trying to keep the car steady. I did not notice the vdc coming on because the whole time i was feathering the clutch and could feel the gas input... i was lucky that i had a little bit of traction because i was going fast enough to go crashing right into the barrier. If I slammed on the brakes I would have did a 360 and hit the barrier and bounced off of that into the ditch/grass area
lek what i say...its snowed maybe once this winter (knock on wood)...now you'd have been pissed had you spent 800 on tires for 2 days of snow.....and its almost mid. february...springs like 1 month away...

UPDATE: So I was driving the Honda Odyssey Mini-Van and it's pretty nasty on the "not so main" roads. For instance parts of rte 29 and rte 50 are unplowed... very slushy. As I was turning into my neighborhood from rte 29 the minivan almost flipped over.... thank god it didnt!!
