Between 2 cars to choose from

Alright, I have it narrowed down to two cars and wanted you guys input. Please base you opinion as if it were hard earned dollars buying it for practicality since all of us dont live like devon

Price $7,877 (not negotiated yet)
Mileage 98,226

or

2) 2000 Toyota Celica GT

Price $7000 (brought down from asking price)
2000 celica gt,92k miles, automatic, 17" alloy wheels with toyo proxes tires, recent tune up, the cars paint is like new, inside is aslo in good shape,

celica, cheaper and less mileage (not much but still enough). i know its an automatic but you have a stick G so even the integra wont be as much fun to drive compared to your G. If your just using it as a beater than go with the cheaper of the 2 and get ur self a newww something or another for your G with the 1000 saved.

I'd factor in whatever the cost of lojack to the price of the Integra, unless it's never going to be in the position where it could be stolen.

The integra I had was the best car I've owned up to my G. Never broke down, never had anything wrong with it, and had a little **** behind it for when I needed to get up and going. I vote for the integra

One thing that does bother me is that the model for the Ac is a GSR and i might be right in guessing it was driven hard as hell.

I think the GSR can be talked down to atleast $7K or lower. I'd go with a Teg over the Celica. It might be a beater, but why not have a nice and fun beater to go from A-B rather than the Celica. Go with the Teg, don't know how reliable celica are, haven't heard anything bad. But with the Teg, parts are like a dime a dozen even aftermarket and if engine dies, B18's are a dime a dozen also, so as long as the shell is in good shape, go with the Teg.

I thought toyotas were strong and reliable

I guess my main hold out abou the teg is its already modified and likely driven into the dirt already. Parts may come a dime a dozen, but who wants to keep putting money back into their car like that??

Toyotas are strong and reliable. Those are 2 qualities you want in a beater. 133K on my corolla, and NOTHING has went wrong or broken. Has never seen a shop for repair, only for regular maintenance.
