Between 2 cars to choose from
I'm chiming in for the Celica.
I'm not sure how many of you have had experience with Toyota's, Celica's in particular, but as a Celica owner I can say that they are good stuff. They are strong in the quality area (few if any defects/ major replacements, like the Acura will last well over 200k). They don't have the power of the G, but that's not really what you want in a daily anyway. They are still quick, nimble and fun to drive.
As a testament I was in a slalom competition held by the Jaguar club back in CT a couple years ago. There were about 25-30 cars. Most were jags (1980-2002 including XKs) there were a few jettas, 240’s, 5.0s, and corvettes too. I was defiantly in the lower end of the spectrum as far as power and it was my first such event, but I still came in second overall behind the two vetts. Note that was on my stock 15"s and a mid-range set of Toyos that grib no where near as well as the PZero Neros I have on there now.
If I had it to do again I'd probably get an automatic Celica for the traffic and stuff around here.

i like the girly celica better because its lighter and handles better. its an automatic though, personally id still like to have some fun with a beater so id have to say gsr even though im not a fan of its looks.
welp. the guy retracted his offer of 7000 so that car is out. I guess you all will see me making another thread soon hahaha.
I found out my dad knows a guy who has access to auctions so I gave him a list of the cars I want, so hopefully somethin will pop up.

I name all my cars. It's kinda like having a pet, they need time, attention, care... And I think they're deserving of a name apart from the one they share with a few thousand others.
I picked Viktor Matsumura, because I wanted something with an Asian American feel, since the G is an American-ized Japanese car.
My Celica is Nei Osumi...

) The guy I bought my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee through took me to the Manheim Auto Auction in Manheim, PA. He is open to referrals so if anyone is looking for someone to take them to a dealer auction I'll get you his contact info and be sure to mention my name. After inspection and his fee for the car I ended up with a great car that was about on the road for $1K less than what kbb.com said it was worth (remember that kbb.com doesn't include taxes, tags, etc.).
