Passport Nissan (Alex)

my friend and I went to Passport Nissan today to check out the 2006 z........ one of the saleman tried to help us out so my friend wants to see if the saleman knows anything about the Z..... here is the conversation

friend: "so how much does the Z weight".

saleman: "arround 2500 lbs"

friend: "so Is it lighter than the S2000?"

saleman: "yeah of course"

my friend turned to me and ask.....should I ask him more questions? ........

I know car salesman have been branded with the sleaze bag stigma but c'mon! 2500 lbs. WTF?!?! I mean even the chumps at Best Buy have some clue as to what they're hocking. I'm surprised that every dealership doesn't make their salesman memorize basic things like colors, trim levels, horsepower, and weight especially on a car like the Z.

Yeah you got to remember they are salesman. He might have sold vacums before the cars.Sales is sales. He is not a car expert .lol.You would think he woulkd know about the product he is selling. If he knew more he might be able to sell the product better.I remember when the salesman did all the work he sold the car got you financing .Now some dealer pass you from sales to finance ,then to after ,market ie under coat alarms snake oil wax ..lasts forever.lol my 2 cents.

A Lotus Elise with 2 fat people (that could fit inside) is still less than 2500 lbs.

not if the 2 fat people are Jonnathan Ogden and Robert Gallery and both of them squeezes into it, it will be mad uncomfortable but there will be a way to fit them inside

2500 lbs is a big difference from the current 3200+ lbs 350Z's ... thats why we are amazed.

I don't really like Elise's....they kinda look like the designer was on acid. Granted that it is a drivers car, it really lacks any interior refinement. I would rather drive a Turbo Beetle.

I think the Elise, Opel Speedster and the Vauxhaul VX220 are damn near the same car, I'll take the VX for looks though:

Turbo'd 200hp on that one. The Saturn Sky looks just like this, too bad the engine is in the front.

the last gen elise and opel speedster were sister cars, the current gen use different engine and platform.
