I am going to mobil 1 tomorrow at IOC. Stuff seems to be cheaper at costco down south than it is here.

Actually you can get ticking depending on the size of your exhaust leak. The best way to tell is to park in an enclosed area (garage is best). Rev up to like 3k then let go of the throttle, you can kinda hear a brrrrrffff (farting almost) when you let off the accelerator. Its basically the air vibrating out of a small hole. But this can also sound like pinging/ticking as lek mentioned. You can even tighten up your bolts, then stick your hand near the area where the gaskets are. If your leak is severe enough you can feel the air being pushed through the gasket which I can feel on mine. Im also getting something like a backfiring almost...not sure but i know the shredded up gaskets arent doing jack..

mine was actually pretty bad, at a red light, the wind was pushing exhaust gas towards the front of the car causing the gas to get sucked into the cabin..lool i was about to pass out.
