2-way radios revisited for Skyline Drive
Hey, some of you guys have asked some questions as far as the 2-way radios go. Unfortunately I/the club can't provide these to you, even at cost. You're going to have to go out and purchase a set yourself (you only need one maybe you can split it with someone else?). They're pretty cheap from Radio Shack or Best Buy/Circuit City - shouldnt be more than $20 or so for a set.
Also just to let you know we will all be traveling on the same frequency to communicate with others. Because we will be traveling 5 minutes apart on I-66 chances are you'll only be able to speak with people in your own group but come to Skyline we'll all be on the same channel and communicate because we're going to be traveling all together.
Just letting people know whats up with these. If you guys don't have a 2-way though I think it would really benefit you to get one just in case you get lost and you get bored, I'm sure we'll be having fun on the radios. Of course its not mandatory but would be cool to have.
