Caliper Spreader (?)

Does anyone have a dual-calipar spreader I can use for my fronts, and/or know where I can find one. I have a single already, but I've been having a hard time locating a dual.

Why do you need a dual-caliper spreader? What are you trying to do that well placed adjustable clamp can't do?

Adjustment clamp? I was just trying to push back the calipers so that the pads would fit. There is an adjustable clamp? (I show my ignorance in high-end brakes).

Get a piece of trim board and place it on the pistons of the caliper and clamp onto that and puch the pistons back in.

Do the sets of calipers move independently? i.e. if I move one set will the other move as well? or do I need to push in all four?

you dont even need a piece of wood...the way ive been doing brakes is leave the old pads in place. grab a vise large enough to fit aroudn the caliper. put the moving side of the clamp on the back of the pad (inside the caliper) and put the non moving side of the clamp at the back of the caliper. turn until you see the piston of hte caliper push back as far as the old brake pad will give. unwind clamp, remove pad, reinsert...VOILA!!

I'll give that a shot. Hopefully I'll have some time this weekend.

Adjustable clamp/ vice. You can get them for cheap at home depot. Get the ones with rubber pieces at the ends so you don't mar up your calipers if you care. Exactly how pdjafari said.
