Do you think an Infiniti Dealership in Tucson is selling knock-off parts? What is the wholesale on this item?

EDIT: I Googled the part number - 999M1-VP001 and got pages of Dealerships and other Suppliers... some below and some above $28. I don't think they are all selling knock-offs.

Actually i just added to cart and the total to 20171 was $34.72...

Nobody can tell me the diference between this and the generic Purolator one you can get at Autozone for less than $20 right? I've been using that one for liek the last 10K miles.

i'm not saying this is always true, but most of the time they are made out od a cheaper material that doesn't filter as well and are not always direct fits b/c they have to be able to fit several car models

Well I heard that the Purolator actually does a better job as an actual "filter" for the car so that seems like its the best option and you can buy it at any local auto store. I had it ordered through Autozone since they didnt have it in stock but they get next day shipping anyways for free.

If you Google the Infiniti Part#, 999M1-VP001 , you can find many Dealers selling the filter for just around your price - with some lower. I can't believe that Authorized Infiniti Dealers are substituting After Market parts. It als suggests that Wholesale - the price paid by the retailer - is not$42.
