Hey guys,

well as most of you know I was supposed to get the G back after 1 month in the body shop. Well the body shop was giving me the run around, and stating they had to keep the car for about another week due to not being able to get the car back into spec. They stated all the suspension parts have been replaced except the rear suspension crossmember. They stated this part was slightly damaged during collision and is whats preventing the car from going back to spec. Well apparently the closest 'rear suspension crossmember' was in NY. Chantilly auto body works with Infiniti of Chantilly who stocks them OEM parts and I called and verified that they did NOT have it in stock. I decided to try out Dave at Rosenthal to see if they had the part in stock. Spoke to Dave and he informed me that they do have the part in stock. Called body shop back informed them rosenthal tysons DOES have it in stock therefore no need to wait for parts and delay me another 4-5 days. (I am paying for rental out of pocket...4 weeks and counting...). I then decided to call Dave back and ask him if he would be kind enough to contact me ONCE the body shop calls him to order/pick up the part. I think I may call him back and have him 'inscribe/scratch' G35 into the part so when I inspect this I can determine if it was in fact replaced or if they were simply 'stalling'. Regardless, I think Rosenthal deserves a second chance in my book, b/c IMO Dave is going above and beyond what tech's normally do to get people satisfied. Part is supposed to leave Tysons in the early AM and arrive at the body shop so the car may be returned to me before the weekend. Dave, if I can get my car back tomorrow, I owe you a 12 pack!!

 

Dude you work right behind me I can give you a ride to work, to and from if need be, I told you this . It's no problem at all. Let me know if you would like me too, you'd at least save some money man.

thanks for the kind workd puria, i'd take you up on the 12 pack but believe it or not i'm only 20. but anything i can do to help just give me a shout. and like i told chantilly auto body all chantilly infiniti had to do was do a parts locator and they would have seen that we have one. we buy parts for eachother all the time so...

 

does that mean you want two 12 packs instead?

dave, man i havent heard anything. i am really anxious to get my car back this weekend man...i just hope Ryan @ the body shop stands by his word on getting it installed/aligned and test driven today to get it back!! Im so sick of driving this damn neon!! Dave thanks again, I owe you a 12 pack of....O Douls!! lool

 

Dave, btw how did payment work out for that part?? does chantilly simply cut Rosenthal a check or do they pass on my insurance company (allstate's) check over to you guys?!?

 

chantilly keeps the insurance check and then cuts us a check. and if i know the kind of person ryan is, which i'm pretty sure i do he stands by his word and his work

 

according to my watch its 4:30 pm on friday so what the verdict? did they get you your car back for the weekend or not?

 

david...still waiting for his phone call....said they fixed it, aligned it to spec...just waiting for the pick up call....i have a weird feeling in my stomach...
