Calling all National G Club members with non-Nav 2005 G35s in the SilverSpring, MD area.

I finally have a preliminary design worked out for a digitalwheelz screen for the 2005 G35. I now need a 2005 non-Nav G35 to prototype the design with. I will need the car for at least few days (possibly non-consecutive) this can be for a weekend or two or even during the week. The car will have to be dropped off at my place and left for at least 24 hours at a time while I am working with it, I can drop you off and pick you up someplace as long as its close by. I won't be driving the car, just taking it apart and putting it back together. You can set the schedule for when you want to drop it off.

In return for letting me use your car for the prototype I will give you and install free of charge the first complete DigitalWheelz 2005 G35 Screen Housing once they are manufactured. It will be at least a month once the design is finished before they are manufactured.

I am located in SilverSpring, Maryland, the closer you are to that the better.

This is an awesome deal. How big will the screen be and how often will you need the car?

 

The screen will be 7". How long I need the car really depends on how difficult designing it ends up being. If you can leave the car for a whole week, that should be more then enough, if not, I would say at a minimum I would need for at least 2 non-consecutive 24 hour periods, but you'll have to be willing to bring it back if things end up taking longer then expected.

 

If I had an '05 I would jump all over this. I really do like the DigitalWheelz screen - this is a great opportunity for someone to get one for free and save a lot of money.

I have an 05 G35 Sedan, non-navi. So, what do I get from you and what else would I need to round out the install?

At end state, I would like to be able to watch videos, be able to hook in my iPod, and maybe headrest monitors.

From me you would get just the screen and the install for the screen. I'll also install a DVD player or carputer along with it, but you'll have to pay the costs for whatever you want yourself. I won't be installing anything above and beyond that.

For a DVD player and PAC AAI-NIS for audio your looking at around $200 for the complete install, that should work with your ipod too.

 

What is the next step? I'd like to meet in person before I turn over the keys.

 

Herndon, just to throw my 2 cents in here, a few of us personally know Chuck (god_of_cpu) and he's a stand-up guy. In fact, he did my whole install too and his product is great.

I think any person that takes advantage of this will be VERY happy they did. Its a great deal and opportunity - I already have the screen and an 04 unfortunately.
