Throttle Issue; No Philly meet for me, unless...

I've been experiencing a problem where my VDC SLIP light and SERVICE ENGINE SOON lights come on when accelerating at low speed from a stop. (I mentioned this to a couple of you guys at Bahama Breeze a couple of weeks ago.) It turns out there is a problem with my throttle. No Sat. Philly meet for me, unless I can BUM A RIDE from Arlington, VA with one of you. [Hit me at a6624539322@gmail.com if you can roll through Shirlington (exit 7 on I-395) on your way to the 0830 rendez-vous.]

Anyway, the result is that power to my rear wheels is greatly reduced, where I can only get up to 20MPH. After turning off then turning on motor, the VDC SLIP light goes out (and I regain full throttle), but my SERVICE ENGINE SOON stays on. However, this light goes out after a few trips. This has happened three times since July. First time was at the USGP at the Indianapolis Motorspeedway, IN. (Who are my F1 fans??)

After taking it in for my third scheduled service (to have the clicking issue finally resolved -- after successfully fixing the left side click) and the VDC / SERVICE ENGINE SOON light issue addressed, service told me it was a throttle issue. I was told they deal with about two of those per week, not sure if it is G specific. Dealer does not want me out of the garage with this problem.

I have been out of my Coupe since last Tuesday! A player can’t play with out his ride! At least I have a G35x (snow mode on) loaner to attack those corners with!!!

Apparently there is a regional or national parts issue, where people have been waiting for window regulators, throttles, and probably axel joint, among other parts. I am going to write a letter to Infinity HQ, CCing my dealer because this parts delay is unacceptable in my book, for a Lux car company. You know what I’m talkin’ ‘bout!

i couldnt agree w/ you more on the parts being on backorder....when a car manuf. knows a part is defective, first thing it should do is make sure its completely stocked its dealers w/ this part...just doesnt make any sense?? This is coming from Infiniti...a luxury car company as you put it....

I think there's a few coming from the Arlington area?

But on a side note, why not take the loaner X out for a spin? Probably be our only sedan and is gonna be a great drive up there. It sucks you can't have your coupe but at least you can still drive in a G. I know my dealer doesnt mind me taking long trips in their loaners. In fact I kept their X for a few days and put on a few hundred miles and they didnt mind. After all, people have to go on with their lives while thier cars are in thier garages.

So you gonna bring out the loaner? Or do you still need a lift? Maybe someone will volunteer if you do but I think you should still bring out the X and really see what the car has

Sounds Tempting. I'll see if there is any news on my Coupe this afternoon. Then I will let you know if I need a lift or if I will wait for the next one.

Nordschleife,

I had that throttle problem back a couple of months ago. I took my car to Passport and fortunately, I did not have to wait long on parts (~2 days). Now the other crap has completely pissed me off. My driver's side window motor went TU 3 weeks ago and I have been waiting for parts ever since. Passport says the parts are on "national backorder" and there IS NO ETA!!! WTF???
