Driving Rules for the August 13th Drive. Please check it out.

Hey guys, here are some rules that I think we should all stick to on the 13th drive. I dont mean to be strict but traveling with this many cars may be difficult so lets try and have a nice clean ride instead of a mad dash. I'll be printing these out and passing them out to everyone as well.

Thanks.

Driving Rules For August 13th

1. We will be driving or forming 2 lanes on the highway and will have 2 "pace" cars. These cars will maintain the overall speed and discipline of the whole group. You are to follow these 2 cars all the time! Please do not pass them. I am also going to recommend they have EZ-Pass and a radar detector and 2-ways. I'll determine these 2 people at Cabin John on the 13th.

2. We will have 2 trailers of the pack called "sweepers". These guys will both have radios, V1's recommended. If people are to get lost our out of the pack, these are the guys that will radio in that people are seperated.

3. Driving through tolls (This may be tricky). The lead 2 cars will go through the EZ-Pass lanes and pull over to the side and the last 2 cars will actually pay there tolls or you are able to use EZ-Pass in regular lanes. After the last 2 sweepers pay their tolls, the 2 pace cars will make their way to the head of the group and lead the drive again.

4. Lets all drive with our headlights on. Travelling as a group I think it would look great.

5. Lets not be a$$holes and just watch out for others and last but not least, HAVE FUN. This is gonna be a great time.

Please let me know what you guys think of this!! Any feedback is appreciated if things need to be changed around. Thanks.

I pretty much agree. What I would say to make it simple is to have 1 lead and 1-2 sweepers and everybody drive with respect in between them.

If anyone is trying to be an ******* and draw all the attention, I will be as far away from you as possible heh.

I think this is great... i have couple of people tell me how concerned they are with how driving up to Phili is going to be a long crazy dangerous drives. We all really dont need tickets or fines to pay .... please lets watch our speeds ... and stick together...Thanks Pratik for starting this.

he has a snorkel. But seriously I think it's a good idea but if people want to speed let them I know I've been there. But personally I'm gonna be chillin' back with Lek keeping a nice easy pace. Seems like we always end up speeding which is fine but some of us can't afford anymore tickets. It's a great idea I'm just eager if it becomes a reality. I remember your driving on Sunday Pratik when you cut me off after you said you wanted to get around without speeding :P. Just my .02.

Also lets try to get a "safe" distance between each car and not tailgate each other, I know sometime we will get close but majority of the time lets try to keep a little space between each other. Since this is going to be a long line of cars it could get ugly if one person stops short and other are driving too close

Byrnie, I think we should all keep our speeds within reason. Its not like the pace cars will be going 60 MPH. I think the speed limit up there is 65 most of the way. If we're between 75-80 I don't think we're going to have any problems.
