After living in Germany for 3 years with my old 450+ hp Twin Turbo 93 RX7. Anything under 120 and 130 feels like I am not moving. So basically I drive around 80 everywhere on the highway. When on side roads and other roads I really try to keep it around 50. Unless the speed is 25 then keep it around 30's.

THAT IS MESSED UP!!! Why you gotta go and make a man cry on a Wednesday morning? I was just at that track again for some Jaguar test drive thing (LAME!). It brought back some bad memories. Don't know why I sucked so bad on that course.

I know where most of the speed traps are on the various roads and I have a radar detector so that's saved my @ss plenty of times and there are some days where I drive only about 70 but that's rare.

I always take that route home from Passport. I'm always worried traffic on 495 will suck so I avoid it. It's not that it's really 295S to 295N, it's just that in order to catch PA Ave and the Anacostia bridge to 295N you need to follow the signs that say 295S or else 395N dumps you out somewhere weird (is that right?). When I go I haven't seen anybody washing windows but I know what you mean, I hate those ppl. I'd rather they ask, I say no, they say ok, then I'd give them a buck just for not touching my car.

Well I'm glad to see it's not just me. The other thing I worry about is if I'm driving to work in the morning and traffic is just right I'm usually zipping in and out of lanes to get around ppl (I know I know it's a bad thing to do and easily spottable for cops) but sometimes I look down and I'm doing 90 or so. Need to be more careful.

The only 'good' thing is that I drive from 695 in White Marsh up to Bel Air via 95N and most of the ppl there move at around 75-80 so I don't look that bad doing 80-85. I just wish some of these d!cks would move out of the left lane if they want to go 55. God it's so frustrating seeing a line of cars stuck behind some douche bag in the left lane b/c he refuses to move over...sorry, tangent.

I know it's been said many times but since I've gotten the g I've actually been driving a lot more conservative and slower but I've gotten way more tickets. When I had my 1987 honda accord I got 1 stop sign ticket and I had it for 2 years atleast.

when i was driving back from NC last thanksgiving, i was on a lane highway (i forget which one) and i was passing a celica on the right. he had just enough mods to for me to notice he wasn't driving stock, so i overtook him at about 100 in a 65.

it was at that very moment that i noticed an unmarked car sitting up in the distance on the right. i hit the brakes and got it down to about 90 as i passed the cop, and he pulled out on the highway. i got in the right lane and cooled it down closer to 70...and he pulled me over.

he comes up and gets my identification, asks me "do you know how fast you were going? where are you headed? etc" and i sit there sweating it out for about 20 minutes as he walks back to his cruiser.

he comes back up to me and says, "i'm gonna give you an 80 in a 65 because i like your car. drive a little slower on your way back home."

i then got a lawyer to take my case so the whole thing got bumped down to a non moving violation.

that's the best speeding story i've got.

man I hope I get off of mine, I can't afford a pricey lawyer and nor am I willing to pay for one. Everyone at work tells me to not worry about it and just go to talk to the DA before you see the judge and plea bargain. Wish me, Puria, and Arjunz luck :\

^^^ On a side note man Cops is one of my favorite shows on TV. Especially when they pull out that taser gun. I dont know why I just love it when they just tag someone and they cant fight it at all and they're just screaming for dear life.... Yeah I got issues.

I actually like the ones where they bring out the K-9 and the bad guy is begging for the cop to take the dog away but he's like telling the guy to stop moving while the dog is biting off the guy's arm. LOL

Why are you guys going to court? I don't know how it works in VA but in MD I don't think we really have a DA that you can go talk to. You just show up to court and it's you, the judge, the cop, and 30 other losers who got busted for dumb ****.

If you guys want a good traffic lawyer you can have mine. He only charged me $250. Well worth it since the last time I went to court I was on probation for a previous ticket. Right now I'm on PBJ and I have 0 points on my license.

I hit 100 everyday on rt 28 coming back from the gym... i drive fast all the time.. i just got a reckless for driving too fast/retarded... I will continue to drive 90 everywhere I go, I can't stop. Its like smoking. You can't just quit the habit, it takes time. I need the patch or something, but for my car. Like get a governor to shut it down at 85..

p.s. Going to court on the 7th. Got a lawyer. The cop told me 10 times he's "recommending jail time for me." Yeah.. okay..

how much did you smoke before you quit Lek? 'Cause I've been having one of hell of a time trying to quitting (smoking) especially when I'm drinking.
