Got a Z-tube and JWT pop charger already but have not installed it yet. Now I am starting to wonder if I should have gone cai. Guessing the gains will not be drastically different. Any thoughts? I searched through some other threads. Just wondering what you guys thought.

Hopefully in the spring of 06 will be switching over to FI with a s/c if everything goes ok. Maybe I will just install what I have and then wait for the FI route.

 

JMHO, but, I think the Z tube is just fine as a first mod. I installed it on mine, butt dyno says, ehh maybe. I also added a K & N in the stock box. Something to think about on the CIA, will you EVER have to drive in high water? In the position the CIA puts the intake filter, it would be very easy to pick up water, a lot of it, and Hydrolock your motor $$$$$$$$$$$$ Some also dislike the sound of the CIA.

I think the stock box is a very well thought out design. It's high and well drained enough to keep water out of the engine. It has intakes at the high pressure area of the air flow over the hood.

In the end, it's your call.

 

Nah we don't get floods around here like they have been getting in Texas. My mom lives in Houston and it floods there a lot she said.

 

i'd say go with z-tube + JWT PC.
