Buying a Foreign car and need help!!

Sup Guys,

I am in the middle of possibly buying a used car from a man in the UK, but I dont know the best way to go about doing this transaction so that nobody is scammed. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this or some Very helpful advice? legal maybe?

I'm not sure how you are buying your car but if you use something like Paypal or Square Trade usually you are protected against fraud up to I think $10,000 or maybe more. That may not be enough depending on what car you are buying but I'm not sure of any other options.

hahaha....I read about this in the Express....it was hilarious. The owner of the car is a DJ on some british radio station and he was interviewing a model and he said that he would leave his wife and kids to be with her. When he said that his wife was listening on the radio and she put his car up on eBay and the guy who bought it actually picked it up according to the Express. So I think the guy really doesn't own the car anymore, and it just cost 99 cents!

You better find out VA requirement on emission first. Not to over look if the car meets US DOT standard.

from london

Im from england and generally japanese cars are maintained as well as they should be. The country in general prefers european engineering. Irrelevant as you are looking at an NSX, i would ask the seller for all MOT records since import to the UK. This will tell you each and every issue the car had each year at inspection. If the owner is keeping his car well maintained the issues should be very minimal but it is well known for english people to keep really good records of their vehicle. I've seen cars worth less than 2000pounds with over a 100k on the clock with all recipts and records including the window sticker. Somewhat impressive since i barely keep the oil change recipts in order. Hope this helps. I forget what the equivalent of carfax is in the UK but if you need/want it let me know, ill call over and find out.
