G35 Dealers in the NoVa//MD area?

Hey guys! glad to see a club forum for us va/md/dc ppl here! here is my situation. I am in the market for a G35 coupe, but not until around september. what kind of leverage do i have buying a 05 coupe when the 06's are a few months away? also, what dealerships do you guys recommend? i dont mind a commute to get a good deal. i live in the springfield area and am just looking for some ideas!

I think its a pretty big leverage honestly. It seems to me that when the 05's were released, 04's were going for a great price. HOWEVER, there was some subtle changes with wheels and interior between the two. I'd anticipate no difference or any changes between '05 and '06.

As far as dealerships, I'd say most recommend Passport Infiniti in Alexandria - great service and sales people. Also have heard good things about JBA Infiniti up around Baltimore. Heard negative comments on the Timonium dealership as well as Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda (Where I purchased mine but had no choice)

I've also purchased mine this past week from Jim Coleman (bethesda) Got a great price for it $500 over invoice fully loaded. Talk to AC Clash, they'll do anything to make a deal. Lethal G35

Here's what I did I figured out exactly what I wanted and called Rosenthal and got a quote then I called Passport and got a quote and so on until I got a great price that was very close to invoice with all the options I selected. (this was done a week before the purchase). What you might want to do is get a person at each place as a Point of Contact either by email or w/e then when the time comes start working them and once you've gotten them to a good price, see which one of the lesser evils has it in stock. gl sir. Oh yea and you have more bargaining power with the A/T than the manual just FYI considering the manual comes with the sport package standard.

thanks for this info. yeah im def wanting the manual, im just hoping that by the time i can swing a deal the 06's will almost be out (when do they typically get released, manual ones in feb or something?) i dont mind getting a 05 at all i just wanted the revamped interior. ill start emailing them when the time is right, i did this for my brothers 05 S2000, got a pretty good deal but had to go up to Sport Honda in MD cause va dealers blow! i wouldnt mind heading up to MD for a G if the price was right either.

Seems like some of you guys had a great experience with Passport however mine was horrible. However I received a great deal on the sale price. I got an 05 6MT AB (nav, prem, aero, splash, trunk mat) for over 2000 below sticker price with "2.9% APR".

Bad experience:
1. I had to pick up my car the following day because I bought the car just before it was about to close so they could prep it. I had to wait over 2 hrs just to give them a deposit and sign 1 form. I think it's ridiculous to wait this long for something that took me about 2 minutes to do.
2. Forgot to make me fill out another form. I had to go back to sign more papers after a few days later.
3. After filling out everything and signing a contract with 2.9% APR the finance guy tells me that Infiniti won't give me 2.9% after a MONTH signing my contract. This guy was trying to make me pay more than what was on the original contract. After threatening to give back the car for my downpayment in return he lowered the sale price so it would adjust to the original payments with 4.25% APR.
4. When the finance guy, Mike Butkus, calls me about the APR problem I tell him that the incredible deal I got including the APR was the reason why I got the car at that time in the first place (I still had 3 months left on my lease from my previous car). I couldn't believe what he told me next, "If that was the reason why you bought the car then you shouldn't have bought one in the first place" I dunno but I think its pretty naive of someone NOT to consider APR when looking at out of pocket expenses in the long run. It makes a huge difference and cost them around $1k.
5. Found out that the passenger door on my car is missing something that prevents the door from opening all the way instead in "intervals" after hearing a squeeking sound from the door. They said they need to order the part since its still an 05 car. Its been over 2 weeks and they still do not have the part!

I don't think I would ever buy from this dealer again. Yeah I think I got a great deal but all those mistakes wasted so much time.

well ... i was in ur situation last year ... i bought my OB Coupe on the 10th September of 2004... i paid 34,500 for it before taxes and it is Fully Loaded except for the XM satellite radio which i really don't need. People have paid up to 38k or 39k for their 04 coupes when they were released.

I believe though by the time you are purchasing there will be plenty of room to bargain on the manuals even.

Pratik,

I believe that you will find that there has been plenty of room for bargaining on the 6MT CPE's since before they were even available. wnt1bd pre-ordered his and took delivery in January at some hundreds over invoice. Following his leave, my wife ordered her 05 CPE 6MT on January 27th at a similar price - she's still waiting for her car to arrive.

Interestingly, at that time there were many posting that no local dealers were willing to bargain and wnt1bd's posts seemed sometimes a voice lost in the wind. We're glad we heard him. He (wnt1bd) has continued to steer a few others to a good deal in recent months.
