i'm not sure if people were misunderstanding the deal I got. Even though my APR switched I still made the same payments. At first I got the car for a few hundred above invoice with "2.9%" and then after their screwup, the sales price for the car was actually below invoice price so i would make the same payments with 4.25% as I had with 2.9%. I bought mine at the end of March. There is still plenty of bargaining power especially if you buy at the end of the month (6MT fully loaded with prem, nav, aero, splash, trunk mat). I got my deal on the very last day of March. I originally wanted the AB with graphite interior but some guy bought it a few hours before me but I'm still happy with the wheat interior.

Interestingly, at that time there were many posting that no local dealers were willing to bargain and wnt1bd's posts seemed sometimes a voice lost in the wind. We're glad we heard him. He (wnt1bd) has continued to steer a few others to a good deal in recent months.
who is this wnt1bd, he needs to bestow his wisdom upon me! a quick noob question, ive been hearing ppl say that they ordered their cars from "grubbs" what is that? is it an online company you purchase the car from and they send it to you? Come september, i'm looking for a black on black or ivory on stone with premium package and nav. what kind of deal do you think i can get with that combo? do you think i can get a better deal if i wait a bit longer, say november/december?

Grubbs is the largest Infiniti dealership in the country and they are located in Texas. The deal that they can give and including delivery is probably even cheaper then if you were to get one locally right now. If you are patient and can wait, Grubbs may be your way to go.

As far as wnt1bd - his name is Devon here on the boards and he is a member in our Club. Too bad you missed the first meet. He was all about those Hooters girls.

pfffff as if YOU paid for the car

I got my car at close to 3k under sticker. After Tax, Title, and paperwork, I was prolly right at sticker. I got the car fully loaded - lip for 36.8k from Grubbs. Mine had to be ordered.

You wont find many AB with Graphite interior fully loaded around except for my buddies

what is this VPP pricing, and how are you eligible to get it? i see a lot of the cars listed on grubbs with vpp pricing for around 3-4k less than msrp. What kind of deal can i expect from grubbs if i want prem package and navi? 36.8k fully loaded is awesome! although i dont really want the aero package, so im guessing maybe i can get away with 35.5k or so?

I know i didn't pay for my car, but i did all the negotiating and shopping around. it would be pretty easy for me to just go to the first dealer and pay whatever they asked to pay, instead i just thought i'd use the money i got wisely and look for the best deal. this has nothing to do with who paid for the car.

I got mine at Jim Coleman. Only because my Dad knew a guy there and I got the VPP pricing. Didnt care for the sales team there at all. In fact I actually thought they were just rude to me. In the end there were no negotiations however because of the VPP (I got this because my Dad works for Nissan). Service actually isnt that bad though at Jim Coleman. So far so good at least - they do try and kill you on those service charges though.

Damn, you still didn't pick up your wife's car? When is it suppose to come in? It's been over a month since I last spoke to you and you were planning to pick up the car at that time.

Send wnt1bd a PM and ask for help. We all have beat Grubbs' price and when you include shipping from TX for Grubbs it makes it a no-brainer, IMHO. (I'm retired Military and could get an Infiniti from Grubbs at Invoice plus a couple of small fees plus $700 Shipping - we're getting it cheaper than that locally.)

Honey, I'm home. All you need to do is go to JBA and ask for Rex or Greg Hayes. Let them know Devon sent you and you are from the internet. They will give you a price from anywhere from $500-$700. I will help you more if you need it. I have to leave now going to the U2 concert tonight.
