Went there on a business trip and came back today. Nice views, the most awful humid weather, hot mommacitas, and some nice cars. Mainly a Gallardo, a F430, a bunch of crotch rockets and choppers, and a crazy assed transient wearing a bikini and a walkman shaking like bacon.

In case anyone ever goes there.

-Avoid barhopping off Ocean Drive in South Beach. The prices are astronomical and the 2 for 1 drink specials are crap. There are only a couple of places where the scenery is worth the price. Most notably Mango's. On weekends, they open up a special VIP section within the club proper. Killer mojitos and the waitresses there are phenomenally HOT! Oh, they also dance on top of the bar. A jaw dropping experience.

-Locals tend to hang out in the areas south of 5th St? Good selection of bars and restaurants with decent prices.

-Lincoln Road is the tourist destination for eats and some clubs. Like Ocean Drive, high prices, but there are some decent places to eat. I had a good experience at Sushi Samba. Eat outside and people watch. The latinas here are tanned, toned, and have long legs. Back home, just heifers.

-I haven't hit any of the clubs so I have no first hand account.

I was there last month, didn't want to come home. You are right on the high prices on drinks and what not. The way I looked at it is I'm on vacation so F*ck it I'll go all out (didn’t feel the same way when I got home).

 

Ya south beach is such a rip off its so rediculous but it is a nice area and good views

Speaking of Mangos......Orange Bowl every January!!! You have to wait and get the table on the sidewalk to get the full view of whats going on inside and outside. Enjoy!
