rear bumper paint?

hello guys.

It was about a week ago. I got off work and walked to my car. As I was walking toward my car I noticed the rear bumper got hit by something, nice and big dent. I haven't taken it to a shop to get an estimate, but it looks like it will need to be replaced.
So my question is do you guys know any shop around NOVA area that does a good job and for good price? help me out here..... =(

thx

should be dropping off my Nismo front soon. Finally arrived after like 2 weeks. Trying to decide if I should test fit and drill holes and just drop it off for paint or have raffi do the install and everything. It's tough logistically to drop off the car, plus the labor would go up to take off and install new bumper

^Test fit is a must. I installed it and drove around for a week before dropping it off to be painted. I did some minor sanding and finishing to ensure everything was smooth just in case the shop was to miss it. Also dremeled out the tow hook cover.

I think i'm actually going to just drop it off with the car tomorrow and have Raffi's shop do the fitting and dremeling. I figured that test fitting it and taking it on and off and reinstalling is too much of a hassle. I definitely don't want to be driving around with an unpainted bumper as it's my biggest pet peeve seeing that on ricers. I'm also doing the tow hook cut out and bought a new cover as my oem bumper didn't have one . I decided to run the plates as the cops around here are too picky about that. Hopefully Raffi can give me a good price on labor.

^I'd still do a test fit if I were you. It actually doesn't take you that long after the first time around. Less than an hour at most. Plus, if the fit is horribly off you can work it out with the vendor your purchase it from. It's better to do it now than wait until after it's painted and realize an area isn't flush due to a defect. Trusting any shop to make that judgment call for you can turn out to be a big headache. Btw, what material is the bumper made of?

It's the urathane replica Nismo. I don't have much time on my schedule to drive the G to the shop and might do the dremeling and fitting, predrilling at home and just drop off the bumper. Since i'm doing my vent in black, it might cost more so i really don't want to spend much more on labor. I'll give him a call later today.

^Seems like your taking the right steps. If you plan just to drop off the bumper to be painted, it's definitely a must to test fit otherwise you're just throwing money away if it doesn't fit afterwards. I got the PU Nismo as well and have been pretty happy. Fit was good and it's held up well with daily driving. By vents, do you mean you're getting your front grill painted as well? I tried to get Raffi to paint my grill but he advised otherwise. Probably cause it's more work to prep. One of these days I'm going to just spray paint it.

by vent in mean the "insert"(air dam) area on the nismo. I want that area to be black to provide an accent. I have some plastic mesh for the grill in the vents. the top grill, i have a replica Gialla grill.

no, my plans fell through. I'm going to call raffi a little later to discuss what's best. If he can install for me cheap, then i'l probably drop the car off saturday, if it's going to be over $100 extra, then i may just do the predrilling and dremeling myself and just drop off the bumper for prepping and painting. I hope it doesn't cost much extra to paint the vent a different color.
