I cant see it lasting for the duration of the warranty, but it seems like a cool product if it did what they say. It's a DIY kit.

Ziebart has a diamond gloss system that I believe last just as long, but at least you have someone to blame (besides yourself) if it doesnt work heh.

It seems zaino has a heck of a lot of products. Going to their site, its not so simply laid out as to what you need. What process/products do you use?

Isn't zaino mostly for showroom look as opposed to paint protection though?

people usually start off with a 100 dollar zaino kits, its a type of polymer just like any wax, thats what they do, protect paint.

What zaino items are recommended? I see they have all these "show car" kits, and I don't own a show car. Unfortunately I don't even have a garage. What do you guys recommend?

get the basic kit, the one around 100 bucks. its really good, makes your car look really nice and protect paint at the same time. yes its really expensive, much more than the usual wax, but it is the best thats why so many people like it.

they send you instruction on how to apply it all with the kit

Don't listen to Terry and buy the "basic" kit. Nothing that cost $100 is "basic"..more like "basically ripping you off". All you need is:

-SFX: which is basically an accelerant so that you don't have to wait 12hr between coats
-Z-2 Pro polish: Polish and sealant in one
-Z-5 Swirle Remover: This is purely optional if you have swirle and not needed if your paint is in good conditio, use own disgression.
-Z-6 Gloss Enhancer (order 2 as you will use moreof this): this is basically their version of the Quick Detailer, "between washes" quick wipe down. I can't honestly know if it works, but i do use in in between coats when I polish (per the instruction), and when for special occasion. It smells really good, so it's addicting. Daily use, this would cost way too much. What I use is Meguiar's Last Touch Spray Detailer. you can order a gallon for like $25 shipped and it works as good as the Gloss Enhancer and actually leave the surface much smoother than the standard Quick Detailer. Plus it's much cheaper to buy it by the gallon.

If I remember correctly, all that ran $50-ish, but don't quote me on that.

That my friend, is all that you should buy from Zaino. Everything else they try to sell you on the bandwagon..ei car wash, clay bar, leather cleaner, show room spray..yade yade ya..is a waste of money as you can just get the standard Meguiar or Mother's (or any other brand) version of these product at your local auto parts store for much cheaper and does the same thing.

I got the 84 dollar kit i think, and i definetly find some of the extra stuff useful.

Z7 the car wash is very good, it smells really great and works great. I use that to wash my car even when Im not applying Zaino. I wont use any other car wash after using Z7.

Z18 the claybar is good also, but probably over priced. I washed my car 3 times before applying Zaino for the first time, thinking it was super clean and the claybar was not going to pick up anything, but they still picked up sticky dirty stuff that you just cant wipe off. you can probably get claybars else where for cheaper though.

If you dont get the kit, id at least get Z7 because its the best car wash ive ever used. I also got some Z-PC which is the next gen of Z5.. I have both and i find Z-PC work better, they also remove light fine scratches very well compared to Z5.

I havnt tried it yet but Z-CS is really good according to friends

if you want to be frugal, the only thing you really need is Z2 and sfx.. thats about it, i consider Z7 the next most important thing to get.

this is my car after 2 layers of zaino. before zaino the factory paint was really nice already, after zaino the car literally became a mirror.

I like Meguiars NXT Car Wash and the Wax personally. If I'm really lazy I'll put on the Turtle Wax spray. May not think it works well but it is VERY good on your car and easy to apply.
