www.mediatemple.net - One of the best out there with its location to the Internet and fastest speeds. Not as cheap but you get what you pay for.

If you want cheaper you could always use DreamHost

ohh, .NET. No they can't. www.1and1.com is a decent .NET webhost.

Word of advice however. Do NOT use a shared .NET webhost. The only way to do that is to get your own dedicated server. After IIS and all the memory hog processes that are run its a really sh!tty experience on a shared server. Trust me.

And yeah transferring domains is really easy through your admin panel (i'm assuming its the same as say Network Solutions or GoDaddy)

depends what your trying to host. Hosting just a website, or do you also require hardware?? NTTA/Verio is who hosts our application, 120k/month is alot though

Pratik is right, dont use shared you should get your own dedicated server that also comes w/ service since you wont have access to the data center/server. Get it managed so they have to take care of it

.NET 3.0 (was called WinFX) is basically the same as 2.0 except it includes Microsoft Workflow components into it.

Perhaps the 'beta' you're referring to is the Visual Studio 'Orcas' beta 1. It is actually the beta of the release AFTER 3.0 framework (I think Microsoft may call it 3.5). I just recently upgraded to 2.0/3.0 framework for my application I've been working on for 3+ years.

I've had Go Daddy. Little more expensive, but it's like the whole Carmax deal. State of mind, amazing customer service and %99.99 up time. If you want to be hassle free, Go Daddy is the way to go.

Also if your purchase is above $30, Type in the Promo Order of DLTV and get a nice little discount.
