Food: Must go Restaurant in Chantilly

Talkin Turkey

14516B Lee Rd
Chantilly, VA 20151
(703) 631-7428

I went there today based on a co-workers advice. It's a mom/pop cafe restaurant. They have likely the best turkey sub you can get. It was suggested to me to get the Thanksgiving Sub. It has cranberry sauce, stuffing, and turkey on a warmed sub roll.

Amazing.

Get your fatman on lol

The asian family that runs it is making better soulfood than at other restaurants

Being a Korean myself. Delis, dry cleaners, liquor stores, convenience stores, etc. are pretty much the bread and butter small businesses that most Koreans get into. As most of the first gen Koreans are "gentrified" into the middle-class, we should see a gradual shift from these mom & pops and many of the second gen kids would have either become a professional, white collar worker, or pickup where their parents left off, if the business is viable and successful. Call it stereotyping if you will, but many Koreans in the NOVA area already know this as common knowledge.

Having said that, it's not a walk in the park. One of my friend's father was shot and killed in a D.C. convenience store robbery. He was in 6th grade at the time. My parents have dealt with burglary numerous times, frivolous lawsuits, and their share of racism from customers. Fortunately, they only had to run a ice cream store in Falls Church and not a convenience store in D.C.
