Xbox 360 Elite vs. PS3 - I Need Help!

Fellaz - My bday is here next Monday (6/25). The wife said I have either choice. I like the games, first person fighting (Ghost Reacon, etc.). So, gamerz, which is it?

yup, get the 360. The FPS's keep coming late for the PS3 (after 360 has had them), and there are going to be more FPS games on the 360 available to you anyways. I'm not being biased here either. My PS3 just doesnt get much play time. Maybe later this year when the games hopefully start to pour.

Also to aid you, reviews state that the port overs to the PS3 dont even look as good as they did on the 360. Weird huh? Well from what I read, the port-overs arent using the anti-aliasing on the PS3 for some reason. Lazy developers or harder platform to develop for?

i personally like the ps3 better because i like Japaneses style games more so than the run of the mill FPS, but i still have to say xbox360 has a better overall library and selection at the moment, so i vote xbox too.

360 if you want games. PS3 if you're a videofile.

360 and PS3 have virtually the same library and you save money. But if you like HD movies, you can't beat the built in Blu-ray player. Aside from that... who's exclusives do you like better?

hd-dvd vs blu-ray:
probably not much except for that hd-dvd is dying, blu-ray movies have been outselling hd-dvd movies 3:1 since december and the gap is widening.

Blu-ray is currently the sales leader and has a MUCH stronger studio support [as Sony owns or has a stake in the majority of hollywood studios]. HD-DVD has arguebly better video quality because of it's compression technique but only the most **** will spot the difference in picture quality.
