04 G Service Recall

Hey guys, just got a phone call from Passport Infinity about a Service recall on the 04 Gs. Something to do with the headlights being too bright and they will dim them. Have you heard anything about it? I have 8000k in them and they are bright as Sh*t, I dont want them to dim them.

Anyway, any thoughts?

haven't heard. not sure what they can do to "dim" the headlight other than to adjust it down. It's not like they can turn down the brightness. I have 8000K and it's anything but bright. Color- yes brightness-no. When it's wet, i feel like i'm driving with no headlight and have to use my fog to see.

I thought it was only for the 06-07's, and they are replacing the headlights.

^ what he said...

the original 'projector' headlights have a recall because they are aimed too high and will blind oncoming traffic. What I am still trying to figure out is why not just have owners come in and have their headlights re-aimed.

No, they were too bright, I believe they were failing Canadian inspections because they were brighter than they were legally supposed to be.

Yes I thought it was for the 05-06 too, until Passport called me again and confirm the appointment. I guest I just have to go in and let you guys know the result. I got the 8000k from Xetronic and well they are dimer and you are right, when it rains it feels like I have no headlights.
