Not sure, but I have a few friends who live in the Adams Morgan area for some halfway decent prices. Also check out the area around H st. and 13th, not the greatest area right now, but it is being built up quite a bit and will boom very soon. Probably get some cheap apartments around that area.

I would recommend DuPont circle, one of the G clubs own "Arjunz" frequents that area in the evenings and can help get you 'situated'

Its not all that bad but not that great. 1 good thing about that place is there's a Metro stop right at that corner. You're a few blocks from Dupont though where there's lots of bars and its a good time. You'd just have to jump onto New Hampshire Ave. and get in. I'd see what your other options are.

Logan Circle isnt that far away. See if you can get something there or also try Dupont but it'll be more $$$.

thanks for the response!
i figured i'll let it sit on the back-burner as a last resort and probably only becuase of its nearness to the metro station

Couple of ideas

This info is old, but I believe it's still true. The Woodner on 16th rents to a lot of interns during the summer. High rise. Furnished studios. Don't know the price. Private van to take you to the Van Ness metro. Off street parking, but if they promise it to you and its important, make sure you have it in writing.

Rosslyn and the Courthouse area are just across the river in Virginia. Easy metro ride, and rents are somewhat cheaper than in DC. Lots of high rises.
