Any cyclist in the club?

I have been bs'ing about buying a road bike for a couple of seasons and finally got one (REI was having a sale). Do any of you guys ride the trails or any other areas in NoVA or MD? I know Jesus has one helluva bike. I still need to replace the stock seat on this one.

Here's to hoping for good weather over the next couple of weeks.

My brother and I ride occasionally. There are some small trails around my house. Usually we go in the middle of the night through the golf course across the street from my house.

W&OD is pretty good in that it can take you pretty much into: Shirlington, downtown Vienna, Reston Town Center, and downtown Herndon - any of which offer the chance for a beer to break things up... Or you can do the G'town to Bethesda ride through Rock Creek, but that's odd in that its all up hill one way, and obviously downhill the other way...

the W&OD trail isnt that far away from the house. I hope to get on that one sometime within the next few weeks. If the weather clears up soon Brian, we should hit the trails near you as well.

No hooliganism, just night riding. We both have these super bright headlights on our bikes, and the golf course is pitch black. So it is like riding through a tunnel.
We don't ride on the greens or f-up anything, we ride on the paved golf cart paths. And it's nice because we are the only people out there so we don't have to watch out for cars or other people.
