(Help) Electrical problems with 03 G35 Sedan.
Recently, (but not often) I have problems with the console for the radio and heat/AC buttons. Basically the if the radio is on the heat or a/c is off, The a/c will just cut on and I won’t be able to turn it off.
Also the orange dotted button lights and the radio display will just go dark. The only way I can get things back to normal is to shut the car off, and cut the engine back on after 2 or three minutes. Any ideas or suggestions ?
Thanks

im pretty sure i know what it is. have you modified your stock radio in anyway/?? there is a ribbon cable towards the bottom of the radio, if you've swapped out your radio (or the dealer has) this cable can become loose. This is a possiblity, but otherwise take it to the dealer. Most likely that ribbon has become loosened
The radio is still stock but i know something with the CD player was replaced by the 1st owner because of a recall. I'll see if i have any warrenty but i think i'm up. It's an 03 brought in summer 2002. I'm sure it's something simple.
I'm having the same problem with my 03 Sedan...? Sometimes when I start the car the AC is stuck in the on position and the temp controls, navigation, radio/CD, and gauge lights all don't work? (All the other center console lights and the heated seats still work though) Anyway, Its been happening for about a week and it usually fixes itself when I restart the car (and once it fixed itself when I kicked the panel under the steering wheel) but tonight I couldn't get it to work and I had to drive for an hour with no gauge lights and no radio...
I am assuming it is a fuse, relay or loose wire somewhere but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
