Is anyone getting 19 city?

I just got the car used (2003-4 door-automatic with 60k) over the summer and i'm not getting the 19 city as on the sticker. I'm probably getting more like 13 city. Hwy is fine since i'm getting mid 20's on that. On one trip i was on pace to get 500 miles on a single tank of gas. Any suggestions to improve city mileage? I'm using mobile-1 every 5000 miles and bg 44k every 10k. I was thinking that it could be because of the colder weather we're getting.

Thanks.

I'm new to the forum and look forward to meeting with you folks very soon

The EPA estimates are garbage. Their testing environments are not indicative of real world driving conditions and as a result their numbers are almost always inflated. If I recall correctly, a new methodology is being implemented next year and as a result, you should see those numbers move closer to real world averages.

it all comes down with how you drive, on the highway you tend to cruise more in 5th gear. If you're flooring from stop light to stop light, that's the problem. I think the trick is just to not launch hard.
