Virginia towing question....
Virginia towing question....
I have a question for you towing experts... Well I witnessed an awkward situation.
I live in a townhouse community with (of course) an out of hand HOA. We have visitor spots that can only be parked in with a hanging pass. (yet they let anyone park on the streets....
)
Anyway, I was going upstairs and saw the tow company grabbing this Lumina from the visitor spot, and I was like "sux for him". But as I'm watching him pull the rear out so he can come around and grab it from the front, he pulls out a jimmy (yet more professional looking), and proceeds to break the seal on the door to reach this device in to "unlock" the door. I'm assuming so he can open up and set the car in neutral for towing. I don't know the laws or permissions these companies have, but....
Are they allowed to "break into your car" while they're towing??
I took video with my digital camera (although I missed the actual Unlocking).
Anyone??
