i don't have any experience with that camera, but it doesnt appear that Olympus has really taken off in the DSLR world. As with most things, I don't thik the marginal differences in equipment mean all that much in real world usage, as the user is much more responsible for the results than a potential equipment shortcoming...

have you seen the thread on my350 for 10til4 selling his canon 300d? good deal if you ask me...

 

The E500 is a pretty good camera considering at that price you get 2 lens. Most comparable Canon or Nikon only comes with 1 lens at that price range.

Costco has good deals on the D50 with two lenses and a camera kit for $800.

 

this is wierd hehe, the price was $539 when i posted the amazon link, now its $699... maybe the price is dynamically adjusted according to demand? at 700 bucks i dont think its a sweet deal anymore
