^actually thats what some repairmen do...i watched this coverage on 60 mins about crooked repairemen that will sabatoge your stuff and fix it for 10X the cost even though it takes them 5mins to repair!

There was this one spot on there that had the repairman take this womans oven away for 3 days. It was setup by the news crew to not work and when the repairmen brought back the stove, they had fixed something else and not the sabatoged part and charged $1,200 for something that still didnt work....the look on their face's when they found out it was a setup was priceless
