Rust in the Paint

Post Rust in the Paint

I was washing my car and i notice a small rust near the side window .What to do? touch up paint? also does it cover under in the warranty?

is it rust bubbling under the paint or surface rust on a chip. warranty doesnt cover surface rust. you will need to touch it up.

Rust...

I had rust bubbles also. Dealer replace both left driver and passenger side's door on my '03 sedan.

pour some "skeet-be-gone" on it and wipe w/ a damp cloth and voila!!

warranty will cover rust from underneath. contact your dealer...corrosion warranty should be longer than 4 year 60k

If push comes to shove you can take it to a body shop (recommend D&V Autobody in Chantilly). They can clean up the bad spot and then just re-clearcost the panel.
