its not gonna happen, just a temporary tactic to boost GM stock making a few people rich. GM has little reason to work with nissan and vise versa, GM has competing cars in every segment Nissan is in, MAlibu far outsells the altima (thanks for fleet purchases) GM has their own new 3.6L DOHC, and RWD sedan (ZETA platform) coming out.

hope this dont happen...i hate GM cars my last car was a GM and everything $$ that could possibly break did. here's a short list...

1. transmission - $2800
2. AC compressor - $900
3. Alternator + water pump - $550
4. CV boot/joint, idler arm - $700

These prices dont even include labor...and #3 and #4 i was able to fix with help from pops...1 and 2 required waay to much work and time/effort and $$...the $$ alone wouldve cost more than the car was worth. In addition the differential and rear axles needed replacing ...all in all a POS car. great for getting you from here/there...but thats about it...

I am not making a generalization...i've owned at least 5-6 hooptie GM's since 16 and they all faced the same probs...i think GM needs to fire all their engineer's from the 60s and start from scratch.

Interior in american cars also sux a$$...just sit in a corvette and look at the cheap buttons/handles and you'll see what i mean..
