I stop by ISPracing earlier this week to pick up some plugs for my car and talked with the owner Peter. I know Peter for a couple months now and we have work on my car a couple times. Anyway, he told me he will be getting a Dyno and hiring a guy that can tune to go with. He mention to me that he also will be doing Zs and G35s reflash. I told him I know the G35 guys and if we get enough people. He can do a package deal for all you guys that want to reflash your ecu. Just wondering if you guys will be down for this? Again, this will happen in the near future...he told me the end of this month he will get the dyno. Let me know if you guys have questions regarding flashes or anything. Thanks

 

Thats good news man .. i dont have enough mods ..and i dont need a reflash .. but there are a lot of people like Devon and Jesus who have a lot of bolt ons and can use a tune up.... Thanks for inquiring for the G35 guys man

 

You dont need all the mods, reflash itself can give you power. It helps more if you have other mods.

Has it been established that the ECU doesn't lose a reflash and work its way back to certain default maps?

 

im normally ok w/ a reflash as long as the car can be tuned on site of the flash. i am a bit against sending out your ECU for a generic flash based on mods you put on paper. every cars different even 2 cars w/ the same mods are different. only thing I am against is increasing rev limiter....ive seen alot of cars even NA blow the motor from raising the rev limiter to 7000+

 

yeah...thats why i haven't done the flash or thought about it to date. But if ISP is gonna get a tuner to do the flash we can just drive our cars out there and do it on site. That way we know its tuned right.

 

whats the point of raising the limiter .. when our power dies out around 6400 rpm

 

If you have some mods on your car...what is the point of the reflash? Is it just to gain more power?

 

bring your fuel maps back into line or improve them.

 

^So are you saying w/ mods, that your fuel maps eventually get off align and a reflash will eventually be necessary?

 

you can squeeze out more power out of ur engine.. because our cars have been restricted in a lot of different ways to keep it running safe and last longer. I guess its a compromise u have to make for more power.... the reason i said Devon and Jesus need it ..cuz their car is running tooo "lean"... because of all their breathing mods... and they can use a serious tune up and gain a lot of HP...

 

yeah. Devon's running lean with all his breathing mods so this would do him some good and give him a nicer smoother power band.

 

with the reflash you can gain between 7 to 15 rwhp and 12 to 20 ftlbs of torque.thats what most of the z,s are getting.also you can richen your a/f and adjust the timing parameter,s.

 

Now will this be effective for an '05? I have read the 05-06 ecu are a b!tch.....
