I tried all that. As a matter of fact, I don't use the battery pack that comes with the laptop, the battery is still in the box.

Sorry bro, You can probably back up your data by using an external usb cable that hooks up to your 2.5" laptop drive, and see if you can back up the data to another PC.
If that does not work and you can't see data on HDD, then more than likley it's the HDD. Might need to be replaced or re-install OS and start over.
