Decent Tire shops?

Anyone know any in the CP area that will match tirerack.com's prices? Id rather not deal wtih the hassel of shipping them and then finding a place that will put them on. Rather just one shop do them all. Im gonna have to replace all 4 in about 1000 miles so i might as well start looking now. thanks in advance

I just put on some new tires about a few months back and I personally could not find anyone to beat tireracks prices. I called all the tire shops in NOVA. You have to keep in mind that these tireshops have to pay for the man labor/hrs and other associated shop fees while tirerack doesnt. I was looking for some Michelin A/S and most tire shops were saying around 450 to 500/tire while tirerack was only charging like 300/tire. Honestly, your best bet is w/ tirerack. Also be sure to use tirerack's tire comparison chart as well, it helps to see what others have experienced w/ the same tire and how they rate it.

I've yet to find a shop that matches TireRack's prices. All shops have overhead they need to pay for and can't pricematch a strictly online company. Unless you have the hookups, prices will be slightly higher than TireRack with shipping expenses. The tradeoff of buying local is they normally include mounting/balancing cost. In the end, for tires mounted and balanced, TireRack and some local shops are priced the same. If you trust your local Costco, they have decent prices considering the prices includes mounting/balancing/lifetime balancing/rotations/flat repairs. Other than that, call local dealerships.

Tire rack is tough to beat, one of the techs in the shop just put 19's on his 350Z and the price was more per tire but within a few dollars of tire rack total when you add in the shipping cost.
