Kinda hard to find a place you can trust since lots of the generic stores basically have kids doing the work and you never know how well the wiring layout is designed or the installation is done.

Are there any shops with good, established rep in the area?

I could take it down to Myer Emco in DC where I have a reference but I would prefer to avoid that much travel and inconveniencing someone else to go that far with me whenever I drop the car off and pick it up.

Kinda uncertain about Tweeter or other chains as far as installation goes.

I would prefer a place that's an authorized seller of JL Audio equipment, but could buy the items at another store if necessary.

Yacoub, what are you getting done as far as an audio upgrade?

 

upgrading the stock speakers in an '06 Civic sedan with aftermarket components and powering them with an appropriate amplifier. will likely require fabbing new ring mounts for the speakers and possibly custom mounting the tweeters. also whatever wiring needs to be run to do that and any additional items that might be appropriate like a capacitor and a power cut-off switch.

 

i had tweeter in towson do a acura cl types and they did a killer job.

 

just out of random curosity & future refrence, how much would changing all the speakers out, adding subs, and dampening the G would run if i bought all my parts and just wanted to pay for labor? Also what would the turn around time would be?

Any reputable shop should be able to handle that work order. You probably will not need to install a capacitor.

 

Labor alone will be @ $150-200
