My sedan 6mt at the 1/4 mile

Had a fun weekend last Friday. Me and a buddy went at it for a 2 out of 3 bragging rights fun match up.

2015 Dodge Charger R/T v. 2013 Infiniti G37 Sedan 6mt

Charger has K&N drop ins. I have full straight pipe single exit exhaust, K&N drop ins, and those mishimoto silicone intake tubes. Just had an oil change the same day and was running with a full tank of gas.

Race 1: forgot to turn off traction control, at launch car cut power and as I was catching up but he still took it with a 14.3 and me at 14.6

Race 2: Better launch, took the W with a time of 14.1 and his at 14.4

Race 3: Took the W at 14.01XXX at 99.67 mph and him at 14.9

I didn't do any burnouts before the races. He did. I was power shifting and taking her right to the red line but did not let it bounce off the limiter.

Overall....I'm so surprised that my car can keep up with a newer Hemi. It needs a tune and with better tires I'm positive I can get it to the mid 13's with some practice on launching and possibly warming up the tires with a burnout...or at least for sure the high 13's considering I'm so close.

Just wanted to share for fun.

Best,
Banshee

P.S. At one point I got some momentary axle tramp, lasted for like a second maybe 2 seconds. What should I inspect or what fluids should I change in light of this serious stress to the drive train components? I didn't mean for it to happen, it just did.

P.S.S. These are the times to my recollection. I have the time slips at home and will edit them to be to the thousandths decimal place.
